Each year we have a good cause. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported our fundraisers. Without the generosity of our lovely customers and talented artists, none of this would be possible.
Following the success of last year's fundraiser, we are delighted to continue to support PAPYRUS as our charity for 2025. At the end of August '25 our JustGiving page stands at an amazing £15,153. Huge thanks to everyone involved. Together we can make a difference. York Press ran a lovely feature in the newspaper in September 2025, which Anne subsequently talked about on the ThatsTV York news channel.

At start of the dreadful war in Ukraine in early 2022, Mark Braithwaite's Rosebud and Charlie wanted to do their bit to help the children fleeing from their homes in the humanitarian crisis facing Ukraine, so we launched our 'Let the Children Play' appeal, with all profits to the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal, by November 2022, we had sent £2204 to the Ukraine Appeal. York Press kindly featured the story in the newspaper.
Previous charity prints have raised funds for Mind - with the help of artist Sam Toft, we raised more than £5000 with her 'Looking After Each Other' artwork.
With Artist Paul Heeley we raised £752 for Dementia UK and £1000 for Choose2Youth. Choose2 used the funds to create an accessible shelter at Snowball Plantation Scout Campsite. Paul continues to support our fundraising efforts, generously donating commission from the sale of selected artwork to our current charity.
Rosebud also raised funds for NHS Charities Together in the first COVID lockdown.
After the dreadful Boxing Day floods in York in 2015, gallery resident artist Mark Braithwaite painted 'Flood Lights' which was raffled at the Hold Back the River fundraising concert at York Barbican and raised £1192 for the York Flood Appeal.
Over the past decade, thanks to the generosity of our artists and customers, and the tireless efforts of the gallery staff team, we are very proud to have raised over £25,000 for charity. What amazing people we work with. Thank you all. ANNE
