We are delighted to announce our First & Finest Exhibition — a special celebration of the work of artist Sam Toft, held at The Braithwaite Gallery in York.

Sam Toft will be joining us in person on the day to meet collectors, sign prints, and share the stories behind her much-loved characters Ernest, Violet, and Doris. It promises to be a very special occasion.

The exhibition will feature a curated selection of Sam's limited edition prints, alongside exclusive Gallery Remarque editions — each individually hand-drawn by Sam — and a number of special pieces available only on the day.

Nine exclusive Gallery Remarques — one released each week

In the nine weeks leading up to the exhibition, we are releasing one exclusive Gallery Remarque each week online — each one a unique, hand-drawn original by Sam Toft in the border of a limited edition print. No two are the same, and once each piece is gone, it is gone. Sign up for updates to be notified the moment each new remarque becomes available.

As part of our Summer 2026 fundraising campaign, 10% of every Gallery Remarque sale goes directly to PAPYRUS — the charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. The Braithwaite Gallery accepts no liability for any cancellation or alteration to the artist’s schedule that prevents her from attending in person. The exhibition will proceed as planned regardless.
