Rosanne Bell was born in Zimbambwe in the 1960s. A self-taught artist, she took inspiration from the flowers, animals and colours of Southern Africa, adding her own quirky, contemporary and, most importantly, FUN touch to her work.
She moved to the UK in 2002 and settled, with her family of five children, in Dorset. We were delighted to hear that Roz became a granny in 2020 and clearly has to be one of the most talented and glamorous grannies there are!
Roz's love of the Dorset countryside and the coastline of Cornwall has inspired her recent works - which still shows the influence of her African memories in colour and vibrancy.
Roz's work in mixed media is truly unique. Each painting has layers of resin, acrylic paint and iridescent metallic links, creating a vibrancy and depth not seen in work by any other artist. Recent work has been finished with high gloss varnish rather than resin.
