Fundraising result — 2026 Summer Fundraiser: Sam Toft chose the winning entry at our First & Finest Exhibition on Sunday 20th September 2026. Congratulations to Maureen in Scotland, who won A Big Old Squish! Remarque Edition.
The raffle raised £1,006, and the Sam Toft Remarques raised a further £662, making £1,668 raised in total for The Jordan Legacy and its collaborative suicide prevention projects through One Voice One Hope.
A Big Old Squish! — Sam Toft Remarque Edition | 2026 Summer Fundraiser
Each year we choose a cause to support, and with the help of our amazing artists and customers, we try to do our bit to make a difference for others. For our Summer 2026 fundraiser, we were delighted to present A Big Old Squish — a specially remarqued Sam Toft limited edition artwork, created exclusively for The Braithwaite Gallery by Sam Toft herself.
This fundraiser supported The Jordan Legacy and the development of its collaborative suicide prevention projects through One Voice One Hope, bringing organisations and people together to reach more individuals before they arrive at a point of crisis. This cause has a very personal significance for us: we lost Jake Braithwaite, son of gallery owners Anne and Mark, to suicide in 2018, aged just 20.
About the Prize
Sam Toft remarqued ten different limited editions exclusively for The Braithwaite Gallery to raise funds for suicide prevention projects. Each features an original illustration hand-drawn by Sam in the white area adjacent to the title — and because every remarque is completely different, each piece is entirely unique and cannot be found anywhere else.
This particular piece — A Big Old Squish! — was the raffle prize. The remaining nine Gallery Remarques were released one per week in the run-up to our First & Finest Exhibition, with 10% of each sale also going to suicide prevention projects. The exhibition on 20th September 2026 featured many more Remarques and special edition pieces.
Both Sam and everyone at The Braithwaite Gallery are proud to support The Jordan Legacy and the vital work being developed through One Voice One Hope. Over the years, Sam's generosity with her time and talent has raised many thousands of pounds for charitable causes.

Previous fundraisers for mental health charity Mind raised £5,825, and almost £19,000 for Papyrus. Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us.
