Owning an original Sam Toft is something rather extraordinary. These are the actual paintings — the ones Sam sat with, worked on, and brought to life with her own hands. Every brushstroke, every pencil mark, every wash of colour is exactly as she left it. There is nothing quite like living with one.
We are always thrilled when Sam entrusts us with one of her originals, and they rarely stay with us for long. Her work has found its way into the homes of collectors across the UK and beyond, and we consider it a genuine privilege to be part of that journey.
Sam returns to The Braithwaite Gallery in September 2026 for a very special event — a chance for collectors to meet her in person and celebrate a relationship that has meant so much to the Gallery over the years. Original works connected to the event are among the most personal pieces we have ever had the pleasure of offering.
We usually make a donation to our current charity fundraiser from the sale of Sam's original work, and have been honoured to support SNAPPY York, Macmillan, PAPYRUS and Mind through Sam's extraordinary generosity. By Spring 2026, with the help of artists like Sam and the kindness of our customers, our ongoing PAPYRUS fundraiser stands at almost £19,000. Together we can make a difference.
We also occasionally offer secondary market originals, selling on behalf of private collectors. If you are looking for a specific piece or would like to be notified when new originals arrive, please join our mailing list or get in touch.
