Ernest Hemingway Mustard is relaxing in a deep plaid armchair, with Doris the dog tucked warmly beside him. Full of the gentle humour and tenderness that make Sam Toft’s work so collectable, this is a particularly charming limited edition from a very small self-published run.

This very rare, sold-out Sam Toft print comes from the same special collection as other secondary-market works we are offering. The current owner is reluctantly selling these pieces and hopes to rehome them somewhere they will be appreciated and loved. It is a pleasure to bring them to The Braithwaite Gallery in York, the northern home of all things Tofty for more than two decades and one of Sam’s biggest fans.
This is a pre-owned, mounted secondary-market artwork and is in very good condition apart from a small crease in the bottom right of the extra-thick mount, which would be disguised by framing. It is offered sold as seen.
