What The Dickens – Simon Clarke
Fluffy sheep bring a wonderfully woolly twist to a street straight out of Dickens, with Scrooge & Marley’s purple frontage facing the teal curve of The Old Curiosity Shop. A sheep in a bright blue top hat stands beside a little street cart, while a dog watches from the pavement and intriguing treasures crowd the shop window.
Simon Clarke’s playful tribute to Charles Dickens rewards a closer look. How many references to his stories and characters can you spot among the crooked buildings and curious shopfronts?
