The Game Is Afoot – Simon Clarke
A fluffy sheep settles into a red armchair with a newspaper, while a wide-eyed little dog keeps watch beside the glowing fireplace. A violin, pipe and intriguing detective clues surround them, with a moonlit clock tower beyond the window. Simon Clarke’s wonderfully woolly nod to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes turns a cosy evening into a playful little mystery.
How many Sherlock Holmes references can you spot? With its warm lamplight, rich red chair and unmistakable sheep, The Game Is Afoot invites you to linger over the details and enjoy Simon’s gentle humour.
