Mark has painted a new Silent Night painting each winter for several years; Monk Bar was Mark's 2022 release.
Dating back to the 14th century, Monk Bar is the largest and most ornate of the original gateways into the City of York. This beautiful and atmospheric image shows the view through the arches of the bar into Goodramgate on a snowy, winter’s evening. Lamplight illuminates the snow on the ground and the flakes which have fallen and gathered on the stone of the bar creating this beautiful and glowing image.
Available in two sizes on paper, and as a wraparound canvas:
400x500mm (mount dimensions) presented in a black or a cream mount (giclée edition)
We have the small size available pre-framed in a black mount and black frame - this can be only be shipped via a fragile courier service, or collected from the Gallery in York.
