This exquisite pencil drawing captures the poise of street dancer Hannah Grant; captured poised on the tips of her toes. Hannah is now a professional stunt woman!
Mark tells us "Street dance is almost like gymnastics so a lot of the freezes and poses are often in body bending positions. Creating movement in dance pictures has always been one of my goals and doing this without blurring, using techniques designed to make this easier is another goal. Street dance looks great in sketches and is slightly more complex to draw because of the baggy clothing. The Dancer in the Street originals are slightly more expensive than many of my other solo dancers due to the time taken to draw the checked shirt."
Drawn using graphite and polychromos pencil on cotton watercolour paper. This figurative pencil drawing is presented in a double mount as shown, with outer dimensions on 40x50cm and a paper size of 30x40cm.
