A delightfully quirky coastal limited edition by one of our most popular artists, Gary Walton.
Gary’s typical style is full of imagination and humour making it distinctive and instantly recognisable. In this image we have a cliff with an arched opening reminiscent of Durdle Door. A tug boat is moored close to the edge of the beach as the tide goes out. Atop the cliff stand a row of Gary’s typical tall, thin buildings and, a little way out to sea, a shack perches on stilts.
Gary tends to use the same restricted palette of colours which adds to their familiarity. The turquoise sea glistens whilst the peach and grey sky glows, creating a sense of calm and serenity.
