We've Done It, We've Done It! – David Questa
Ten years of waiting, hoping and keeping the faith, followed by a celebration to remember. This art print is taken from an original watercolour by Yorkshire artist David Questa, painted shortly after York City’s promotion back to the Football League in 2026 following a ten-year exile.
David captures supporters celebrating outside York’s LNER Community Stadium, with red and blue flags flying above the crowd. Children in football shirts, friends gathered together and a young supporter perched on shoulders bring warmth and life to the scene. It is a celebration not just of promotion, but of the loyalty and community that make following York City so special.
A print for those who kept believing, and a reminder of what it means to say: “We’ve done it!”
About David Questa
David’s work depicts the places in which he has lived, worked and travelled. Beginning on location, he maps out everything that is static and permanent, establishing a scaffold onto which the moving and transient elements can be added. People and passing moments are carefully observed or caught in quick, fleeting sketches. Drawing on both still and moving images, he then develops these drawings further with layers of ink and watercolour.
