Uphill, All the Way Limited Edition Print by Dotty Earl. A fine art giclée print, from Dotty Earl's "Tall Stories" series of original mixed media artwork. This nostalgic snowy scene shows a small child and a dog being pulled up a steep snowy hill, passing snowmen which stand outside the row of colourful terraced houses. A little robin looks on inquisitively wondering if the pair got to speed down the hill again at lightening speed?
Dotty uses a range of mixed media, such as chalk and pastels over watercolour, creating a soft dream like quality. She enjoys bringing bright and colourful characters to life through her artwork, with the hope of making people smile.
The Limited Edition has 150 prints in two sizes.
Each giclée print is mounted within an acid-free mount measuring 40x50cm (large format) or 30x40cm (small format).
Each is named, numbered and signed, by the artist, and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
About the artist
Dotty was born and grew up on the Wirral and was attracted to drawing and painting from a young age, leading her to study art at Wirral Metropolitan College before attaining a degree in Film and Animation at the University of Humberside.
She then spent many years working as a digital artist/animator in the computer games industry before moving on to a freelance role and, although still working in games, illustrated several novels and designed artwork for clothing lines.
It was during this time that she began creating more of the art she'd always wanted to do, bringing bright and colourful characters to life to, hopefully, make people smile.
Dotty now lives in a small Yorkshire village, where her love of painting has continued to grow.
