Description
We have been asked to sell two of gallery resident artist Mark Braithwaite's early figurative works on behalf of their current owner, who no longer has space to display them.
It's always nice to see early work again - it's like reconnecting with an old friend!
This is Red Dress Study 1, painted in oil on canvas back in 2006.
The artist's model stands, wearing a red dress with a black shawl.
Image size is 40x50cm, plus frame; external frame dimensions are approximately 53x63cm. Framed in a champagne tone silver scoop frame with a linen inner slip. The frame has a few minor chips, as shown.
