My Favourite Thing – Shaun Tymon
Bod stands at the seaside, yellow mac zipped up, hood firmly on, wellington boots planted in the sand — and gazes wistfully up at the ice cream van. The window is decidedly shut. The ice cream man has gone for a break, and the world feels briefly, profoundly unfair. Bod loves ice cream. It's one of his Five a Day, after all.

About the Artist
My name is Shaun Tymon. I'm a self-taught artist from Hull. I've always enjoyed drawing, painting and creating things for as long as I can remember — most of my artwork is based on my childhood and memories of growing up on the streets of Hull in the 80s and 90s. Hopefully that nostalgia comes through in my work. I'm forever thinking up little characters, most of which have symbolic meanings behind them. My little character 'Wreny', for example, is a nod to my late father who sadly passed away — he was a bird fanatic, and so you won't find little Wreny more than a stone's throw away from his partner in crime, his little feathered friend Wren.
