Lemon Curd & Raspberry Jam – Anthony Marn
Two tiny mice have discovered something rather sweeter than their usual supper. One balances on the red-and-white checked lid of a lemon curd jar, while its companion peers over the lid of a jar of raspberry jam. With ears pricked and whiskers poised, they look as though they may just have been caught red-handed!
Golden lemon curd and rich raspberry-red jam brighten the wooden shelf, set against a softly textured, shadowy background. The familiar pantry jars, handwritten label and inquisitive little faces give this scene the vintage, nostalgic charm that makes Anthony Marn's wildlife paintings so endearing, reminiscent of the storytelling warmth of Beatrix Potter's sketches.

About Anthony Marn
Born in Manchester in 1963, Anthony Marn lives with his family on the edge of the Pennines in the North of England. He works exclusively in oils, exploring the possibilities of light and colour. His career has included successful solo exhibitions and an appearance on the BBC's Show Me the Monet.
