Hovis & Jam – Anthony Marn
Three little mice have found a breakfast worth sharing in Anthony Marn's Hovis & Jam. One keeps watch from the top of a golden Hovis loaf, another sits beside the freshly cut bread, and a third leans eagerly over a slice spread with glossy red strawberry jam. With bright eyes, pink ears and whiskers poised above the feast, these tiny visitors seem quite at home.
A familiar Homepride flour bag, a pale jug, brown eggs and a jam jar with its spoon still inside fill the scene with nostalgic kitchen detail. A cream-handled knife rests across the worn wooden board, as though someone has only just stepped away. Warm bread crusts and rich red jam glow against a softly textured green-grey wall, giving this limited edition art print the gentle humour and storybook warmth of a well-loved kitchen tale.
