Amanda has created this wonderful image by incorporating the spines of a selection of well-known and classic books which have been enjoyed for decades by children and young adults. Authors and titles include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Winnie the Pooh, Pippi Longstocking, Roald Dahl, and Ottoline.
Set against a taupe background, we see our reader sitting on her bookshelf on a copy of Dr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat, using her feet to prop up the other books and stop them falling. We see her only from the waist down with her white skirt decorated with red hearts, her pink and purple striped tights and her red trainers.
