Flood Gates by Mark Braithwaite
Flood Gates has been painted as a pair to Flood Lights, which raised an amazing £1192 for the York Flood Appeal in March 2016. The River Ouse regularly floods; the power of nature can be strangely beautiful. Here Clifford's Tower can just be seen through the lamplight, from Skeldergate Bridge. Amazingly the Victorian lamps remain lit despite the flood waters.
Look for Lucy, M.J. Braithwaite's black cat trademark.
Flood Gates is presented in a 240x300mm antique white mount
A larger, signed giclée edition is also available, 40x50cm, black or antique white mount
