A gloriously wonky multi-storey cottage teeters on a tiny rocky island, its timber and brick walls rising improbably above the harbour water. Teal-framed windows glow warmly within, a fish pub sign swings outside, and a carved wooden fish decorates the wall — just in case there was any doubt about the neighbourhood. A rowing boat is beached on the sand below, and a lighthouse stands watch on the headland behind, all under a wide coastal sky scattered with stars. Charming, characterful, and utterly Gary Walton.
