York, The Minster – Linda Mellin
A charming and characterful view of York's most iconic skyline, packed with detail — Micklegate Bar, Bitchdaughter Tower, Fishergate Bar, the Medieval City Walls, St William's College and, of course, the magnificent Minster itself. Linda Mellin's quirky, colourful style brings the city's layered history to life in a single glance.
Look closely — you might even spot a familiar face. One of the figures in the scene is Mark Braithwaite, our own gallery artist, captured painting en plein air in York by Linda Mellin herself.
This is the first of a set of three individual prints — York, Museum Gardens and York, Clifford's Tower are also available individually. All three are also available together as the York, The Walled City Triptych.
Embellished Format: black frame
The embellished print is hand finished by the artist with a clear acrylic gel; when dry the gel shows brush strokes giving the print the feeling and texture of an original painting. This is then framed in a frame with slip, giving more depth, and without glass.
Embellished prints must not be exposed to any liquid, and must only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
The framed large format embellished picture measures approximately 600 x 730mm. If you prefer a white frame, please contact the gallery and we can order this for you.
All of Linda's work is mounted and framed by her son Duncan, from his framing workshop in the Dales.
Frames can only be shipped via courier on a fragile service. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
