A plump red hen with orange spots and a tall, elegant cream rooster with a blue-spotted body and an extravagant curling tail are perched on a white picket fence — proud feathered parents surveying their domain. Below them, two tiny chicks — one yellow, one pink — go about their business. Green countryside and a farmhouse peek through the fence slats behind. Folk art charm at its most joyful.

About Dotty Earl
Dotty was born and grew up on the Wirral, and was drawn to art from a young age — going on to study at Wirral Metropolitan College before earning a degree in Film and Animation at the University of Humberside. She spent many years as a digital artist and animator in the computer games industry, illustrating novels and designing artwork for clothing lines along the way.
Dotty now lives in a small Yorkshire village, where her love of painting bright, colourful characters — created to make people smile — continues to grow.
