Autumn Path – Anna Schofield
A pale path winds between slender trees in Autumn Path, an original oil painting on canvas board by Anna Schofield. Bright touches of golden yellow and fresh green catch the light beneath the trees, while a soft wash of rose, peach and blue-grey gives the woodland a gentle, dreamlike atmosphere.
Thick, expressive strokes bring the scene to life: pale trunks rise through richly layered foliage, and textured sweeps of colour draw the eye across the woodland floor. It is a small painting with an inviting sense of depth, offering a quiet moment of escape along a familiar autumn walk.
Anna creates her artworks from memory, giving her the freedom to express the emotions a place leaves behind. Her decisive brushwork and richly textured surfaces lend each painting its own energy and character.
