A delightfully nostalgic literary themed children’s book cover art print from Amanda’s Girls on Books series. Amanda creates her own artistic interpretation incorporating the spines of a selection of well-known and classic titles which have been enjoyed by children for decades. All Dressed Up shows much-loved books including Pippi Longstocking, Matilda and Winnie the Pooh.
In this image the reader sits on top of a pile of books with a large open book open on her knees. All we see is the bottom of her purple skirt and her orange and purple striped stockings and sandals, the ribbon laces of which hang loosely in curls. The background is a neutral taupe to showcase the colours in the image. Do any of these titles evoke particular fond memories of childhood reading for you?
