Each year we have a good cause. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported our fundraisers. Without the generosity of our lovely customers and talented artists, none of this would be possible.
Following the success of last year's fundraiser, we are delighted to continue to support PAPYRUS as our charity for 2024. Our spring raffle to win Gary Walton's original 'Constellation Cove' raised £894. Gary himself selected the winner at our meet the Artist event on Sunday 28th April 2024.
In Winter 2022, we began a new fundraising protect for PAPYRUS - a charity focused on prevention of suicide in the young. At 31 December 2023, the total sent to the charity via our JustGiving page stands at £6909. Huge thanks to everyone involved. Together we can make a difference.
At start of the dreadful war in Ukraine in early 2022, Mark Braithwaite's Rosebud and Charlie wanted to do their bit to help the children fleeing from their homes in the humanitarian crisis facing Ukraine, so we launched our 'Let the Children Play' appeal, with all profits to the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal, by November 2022, we had sent £2204 to the Ukraine Appeal.
Previous charity prints have raised funds for Mind - with the help of artist Sam Toft, we raised more than £5000 with her 'Looking After Each Other' artwork.
With Artist Paul Heeley we raised £752 for Dementia UK and £1000 for Choose2Youth.
Rosebud also raised funds for NHS Charities Together in the first COVID lockdown.
After the dreadful Boxing Day floods in York in 2015, gallery resident artist Mark Braithwaite painted 'Flood Lights' which was raffled at the Hold Back the River fundraising concert at York Barbican and raised £1192 for the York Flood Appeal.
