This captivating acrylic landscape shows the Cornish coast at its best. Kerry has re-created one of Cornwall’s most iconic landscapes in her very own unique naïve style of painting. The gently shimmering waves and rose tinted clouds frame the image as the summer sun slowly sinks below the horizon.
With a gentle pastel colour palette the contrasts of whites and dark inky blues add real impact. There are also shadows cast on the surface of the canvas from the careful use of fine textured layers. Minute brickwork, pebbles and sand are painted to perfection.
You can imagine catching the last warm rays of the sun on your face before it slips down beyond the horizon and night begins to settle. In the final hour of sunlight you can imagine having the place all to yourself, a world away from the busy bustling town that it is in the heat of midday but still taking advantage of feeling the warm glow of the sinking sun still lingering to light your way.
