About Braithwaite Gallery York
The Braithwaite Gallery is located in the historic city centre of York on Low Petergate - we sell thousands of pieces of artwork each year internationally online and from our studio gallery.
YorkArtist.com is the website of artist Mark Braithwaite, who works from The Braithwaite Gallery in the heart of the historic city of York.
The Gallery is located on Low Petergate, at the crossroads of Stonegate and Minster Gates, just yards from the South Transept of York Minster - if you can see the Rose Window of the cathedral you won't be far away!
According to old maps and plans of the city, the wall of the Roman fort runs directly under the floor of the building!
The Gallery is owned and managed by the Braithwaite family - artist Mark Braithwaite and his wife Anne, assisted by their young children!
The Gallery is proud to be a member of The Fine Art Trade Guild, the Trade Association for the art and framing industry. The Guild sets and maintains industry standards for the benefit of Members and their customers.
Anne Braithwaite was elected Branch Master of the Guild for the North East of England for 2006-2008.
Mark was elected onto the Fine Art Committee of the Guild in 2010, sitting alongside such renowned artists as Gordon King and Sue Howells.
Anne is also a regular columnist for Art Business Today magazine.
