THE ITALIAN JOB from artist Robert Tomlin
A series of five (so far!) prints dedicated to the infamous Michael Caine film 'The Italian Job'. Each Limited Edition is hand signed by the artist, individually numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by publisher Buccaneer Distributions.
The Great Escape: loaded with gold, the minis set off down the stairway to begin their escape through the chaotic traffic of Turin, following a carefully-planned and executed heist. The lights from cars are reflected in the marble floors and stairs as the cars bump their way out of the building.
Café Olé: - the minis escape with the stolen gold, dashing through a boulevard of cafés to the astonishment of those just trying to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee!
Uninvited Guests: much to the surprise of the wedding party, three minis race down the steps in front of the church. A beautiful day with clear blue skies, the sunlight glints from the cars as they bump down the steps in an effort to avoid the police.
Over The Top: the getaway cars avoid the chaotic traffic in the streets below by leaping across the gap between two rooftops. The buildings are adorned with the Italian colours to celebrate a football match.
Splashing Out: the minis splash their way across the weir and out of Turin, the hoard of gold on board.
